Constance is thirty, keeps a flat in Oud-Zuid, and works in French, Dutch and English. The meeting rooms downstairs in the conference hotels close at six, and the evening that follows can feel very long; she is good at shortening it. She keeps conversation light and the lighting lower. Guests often book two hours with her and do not look at a phone once. A drive to Schiphol with her is by arrangement, and she names its length first.
